Well it’s about time I made one.

Who are you?

I’m Beth. 20 years old. I’m currently in my second year of college. I live in Chicago, Illinois. 

What materials do you use?

Watercolors and a bit of photoshop to clean them up. I use generic card stock paper from Staples because I don’t really like watercolor paper, but my actual paints are from here. I have about three or four sets because I really like them! My brushes are just generic stuff I got at Target a long time ago. I use super thin Sharpie pens if I outline. 

What artists helped you draw the way you do?

I think when it comes down to it, everything was kind of modeled after the style of Adventure Time, especially if you look at my earlier stuff. But I’ve kind of combined elements of how I always drew with that and developed how I draw today.

What artists on Tumblr do you like?

I don’t follow many people on Tumblr, maybe like 75 or so, but I really like the work of Seamus and Claudia.

Will you draw me __________?

Yeah, if it’s something I also like! It really just depends. I get a lot of requests for stuff, but I don’t always get the references. Or sometimes I haven’t seen the specific show or movie. But I do them every now and then.

Hey, your art is super similar to ______’s! You’re a ripoff! 

Eeeek! I always get a little nervous when I get these. I haven’t seen everything ever uploaded to the internet, so sometimes similarities do arise that I never expected. Often times I Google whoever someone thinks I’m ripping off and I’m surprised by how alike we work. But if I’m specifically drawing from someone, I always give credit to them. 

Why didn’t you respond to my message?

It’s nothing personal - promise! I just get a lot every day.

How come you have nothing in your Etsy shop?

I don’t sell stuff very often. It’s kind of time consuming to package and ship everything myself, but I do it from time to time. I definitely make a post on Tumblr if I am selling something.

Can I print your cards / valentines / pictures?

Sure, go for it! The cards are posted here for a reason - so people can use them. Print them off, give them to your friends, family, or even your dog! They’re free.
